At Keio, students in Economics, Law, and Commerce spend their first two years at the Hiyoshi campus before moving to Mita from year three (Letters students make the move after just one year at Hiyoshi). Because the Tokyu Toyoko and Meguro lines run from Hiyoshi to Mita without a transfer, the common approach is to settle near Hiyoshi as a first-year and stay there for all four years. Mita itself sits close to an office district and functions more as a destination for classes than a residential base.
