Where to Live as a Wayo Women's University Student (Konodai Campus)

Wayo Women's University's Konodai Campus is about a 9-minute walk from Konodai Station. Here are the 15 cheapest stations within roughly 30 minutes* of it, sorted by studio rent. Balancing rent and commute time is the key to a comfortable first apartment in Tokyo — start your search from this list.

Where do students actually live?

Wayo Women's University is based entirely at its Konodai campus in Ichikawa City, Chiba, with no relocation between years. As the university's own slogan — "five minutes to Tokyo" — suggests, the campus sits in a quiet academic and residential area just across the Edogawa River from the capital.

The real favorites are Konodai Station on the Keisei main line, about a 10-minute walk from campus, and neighboring Ichikawa-Mama Station. Moto-Yawata Station, served by the JR Sobu Line and the Toei Shinjuku Line, also draws plenty of student-housing listings thanks to its easy access toward Ochanomizu and Jimbocho. From JR Ichikawa Station, the bus takes about eight minutes. The university also runs its own dormitory on campus.

The ranking below is dominated by distant, cheaper stations toward Katsushika Ward and Tsudanuma — Shibamata, Kanamachi, Horikiri-Shobuen — and none of the real favorites (Konodai, Ichikawa-Mama, Moto-Yawata) appears on it; among nearby Keisei stations, only Onigoe makes the list. Use the Konodai rent level as your baseline, and treat the ranking as a tool for finding cheaper stations along the line.
